Warning: It's 10 in the morning and I haven't slept. I'm tired. I ramble worse than normal when I'm tired and my sentences may be weird.
It seems I keep coming and going on VPL. I first joined when I started working for Majista and I wanted to use VPL as a tool for gathering resources and information about things to keep in mind while working on a site in development. I never really thought I'd enjoy talking with people on here or stay even after I quit Majista. I'm really happy that I have thought because it's the only reason I've been given opportunities like being able to work with Jolly, Chevy, and the rest of the Hellkeepers team on a project I came to really love and enjoy.
Lately though, my head has been in an odd place. I find myself oversleeping a lot and being hard pressed to pay attention to certain things. Mostly though, what I believe to be the issue with me disappearing and reappearing from VPL is simply that I have let myself become distant from the community. Since returning home I've been participating in less and less conversations on here. However, I'm hoping to kick my butt in gear and start getting back into the pet site community. ^^
So, what have I been doing lately?
Well, my past three nights have consisted of almost nothing but watching all of the Game of Thrones episodes till 7 in the morning. I've tried watching it before but due to the content in the show, it wasn't something I could consistently have time alone to watch until now. Nearly done with season 3, and although a lot of it was spoiled for me by sane people who watch it when it first comes out and not a year later, I'm really enjoying it. Also, for some reason, watching medieval shows have always seemed to inspire me the most when it comes to writing.
Eventually I'll start reading the books as well. I just need to find someone to lend them to me.
I also went to my orientation the week before last for McDonalds and got all my papers signed. I didn't have work this entire past week, but I'll have to go in later today to pick up this weeks schedule and my uniform (which wasn't there last week). Next week I should be getting a paycheck for the time I spent at orientation as well as any hours I work this week (if any). So I'm pretty excited about that!
Probably the biggest thing that I'm looking forward to is ALMACON~! Almacon is an anime convention that the next town over holds every year. Being the hermit that I am, I of course did not know this for the past six years of me living here until now. The entry fee for the entire weekend is $5 per person and I have $10 saved up. Considering my little brother had a pretty shit birthday, I figured this would be a good way to make it up to him. Neither of us have attended any real con before despite being massive nerds, especially when it comes to anime. So, that'll be what's going on with me tomorrow.
So, yeah... Still not living in the best of situations, but for the time being I'm pretty damn happy. ^^
